Learn-to-Row (LTR)

Rowing is a sport that’s for everyone, no matter your athletic background. Not only is it a fun and challenging experience, but it also teaches important life skills like perseverance, self-confidence, and teamwork. It’s an amazing way to build a strong fitness foundation that will last a lifetime.

Our small Learn-to-Row classes are led by Rowing Canada-certified coaches, ensuring that each participant receives expert guidance and support. Over six 2-hour sessions, you’ll learn the basics of rowing—from boat terminology and care, to oar handling and coordination. You’ll start off in stable four-person boats (quads) before progressing to smaller boats as you improve.

Are you ready to take on the challenge and discover what you're capable of? The water’s waiting!

for teens aged 13-18

Recreational

For new LTR graduates, and our younger rowers who aren’t quite ready to join the competitive program, we offer a recreational rowing program.
During the Spring-Autumn, athletes will participate in on-water training, and during the winter months when the daylight is little, weekday practices move indoors onto rowing machines (Ergs). Athletes will continue to build on the foundations they learned in LTR, fine tuning technique, and growing their fitness base through fun and challenging workouts.

Competitive

Open to all athletes who want to compete in local, provincial, and national competitions.

Our year-round Competitive program offers up to five practices a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday), in addition to dryland and strength training.

Athletes work together to push themselves to be the best they can be, both individually, and as part of a team.
